LATHAM, N.Y. – The first installment of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Weekly Notables features updates from Keuka College, Lancaster Bible, Penn State Abington, and Penn State Harrisburg.

Keuka College
Women’s Soccer head coach Jessica Shufelt was inducted into the New York State High School Girls Soccer Hall of Fame over the weekend … The Greece Arcadia graduate led the Titans to a state championship while scoring 89 goals in high school … She went on to a Division I career at UConn and followed that with professional stints in Canada, USA, Sweden, and France before coming to Keuka College.

Lancaster Bible
The Lancaster Bible men’s soccer team defeated Cairn on Monday night in Lancaster, 3-1 … The victory marked the first time the Chargers had defeated the Highlanders in Lancaster since 1991 … Field Hockey goalkeeper Chloe Campbell (Millerstown, Pa.) earned two Player of the Week honors this week, as she was named Defensive Player of the Week in both the NEAC & CSAC (LBC is an associate member of the CSAC for field hockey)

Penn State Abington
Junior Morgan O’Loughlin (Downington, Pa.) earned her first career NEAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after an outstanding 2-0 weekend … O’Loughlin recorded a .833 save percentage and led the Nittany Lions to their first two wins of the season, with a 4-0 shutout of Clarks Summit and a 6-1 victory over York College (N.Y.) … O'Loughlin is tied for first in the conference with a single goal against average with six saves over the season.

Penn State Harrisburg
Penn State Harrisburg’s men’s soccer team faced a pair of nationally-ranked opponents last week in No. 5 (NCAA/USC) Messiah and No. 17 ( SUNY Oneonta … For their efforts in games against Oneonta and Hartwick over the weekend, players Mason Jones (Millersville, Md.) and Jake Krantweiss (State College, Pa.) were named to the Mayor’s Cup All-Tournament Team … Women’s Soccer players Haley Vavrek (Clinton, N.J.) and Hannah Williams (South Orange, N.J.) were named to the DC Classic All-Tournament Team thanks to their performances in contests against Catholic and Rutgers-Newark on the weekend … In the program’s season-opening outing, the men’s golf team posted a score of 322 on day two of the Spartan Invitational hosted by York (Pa.) on Sunday afternoon; the lowest round shot by the Lions since an event in October of 2017.


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College. Associate members are: Alfred State (M Lacrosse), Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), College of Saint Elizabeth (M Tennis & M Volleyball), D’Youville College (W Lacrosse), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse), Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf), SUNY Potsdam (M Volleyball) and Wilson College (M Volleyball).
