SUNY Cobleskill Takes Home Both NEAC Cross Country Weekly Awards

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced SUNY Cobleskill’s Dillon VanDemortel and Natalie Honken as the men’s and women’s cross country Runners of the Week for the week ending September 1.

Dillon VanDemortel (Newark, N.Y.) won for the sixth time in his collegiate career on Saturday at the SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational. The sophomore covered the 6k course in 19:19.2 to led the Fighting Tigers to a third-place finish as a team. VanDemortel topped a field of 123 runners.

Natalie Honken (Endicott, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Fighting Tigers as they finished fifth overall on Saturday at the SUNY Poly Short Course Invitational. The sophomore crossed the line in 18:41.1 to finish 16th in the 104-runner field.
