Merrill & Wolf Repeat as NEAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Morrisville State’s Megyan Merrill and Sam Wolf as the women’s volleyball Players of the Week for a second consecutive week.  

Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.) paced Morrisville State's offense as the Mustangs posted a 1-1 record on Saturday afternoon with a five-set comeback win over Muhlenberg and a five-set loss to Vassar. Merrill recorded a pair of double-doubles with 27 kills and 25 digs against Muhlenberg and 23 kills and 12 digs against Vassar. The senior accounted for 54 points while averaging 5.0 kills per set, 3.7 digs per set and hit .218.

Sam Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) tallied 78 digs combined against Muhlenberg and Vassar on Saturday. Against Muhlenberg, the senior had 43 digs (8.6 per set) in the five-set win while adding four assists and a service ace. Wolf finished with a 35-kill, 10-assist double-double against Vassar. Over the two matches, Wolf tallied 7.8 digs per set and 1.4 assists per set.
