NEAC Tennis Weekly Awards Go to Penn State Harrisburg

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Penn State Harrisburg’s Sachin Venkatesh and Sydney Nye as NEAC men’s and women’s tennis Players of the Week.

Sachin Venkatesh (York, Pa.) helped Penn State Harrisburg win 9-0 at Misericordia on Friday. The sophomore won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 7-5. Venkatesh teamed with Samir Cuturic to win 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Sydney Nye (Schaefferstown, Pa.) went 2-0 for Penn State Harrisburg as the Nittany Lions topped Misericordia 5-4 on Friday. The senior paired with Rachael Lim for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Nye then won 6-2, 6-1 at the top singles spot.
