Golden, Levesque Named NEAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honorees

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Caitlin Golden and Silvya Levesque as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s soccer for the week ending Oct. 14. 

Caitlin Golden (Lumberton, N.J.) from Penn State Berks has been recognized as the NEAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after notching a career milestone over the weekend. The senior forward scored three goals and an assist in the Nittany Lions 7-2 win over Cazenovia College. With the hat trick, Golden became the first player in program history to record 100 career goals.  

Silvya Levesque (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) from Gallaudet University has been named NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week with her third shutout of the season. The Bison’s junior goalkeeper stopped nine shots to help Gallaudet defeat SUNY Cobleskill, 2-0, in a conference matchup last Saturday. Levesque is 4-4-0 and has recorded 71 saves against NEAC opponents this season.
