NEAC Student-Athlete Spotlight: Caitlin Hickey, Lancaster Bible

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - Each week throughout the fall semester, the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) will highlight student-athletes from one of the conference's member institutions through a brief Q & A. Female student-athletes will be featured each Thursday followed by a male student-athlete spotlight each Friday. Today, we get to know Caitlin Hickey from Lancaster Bible.

What is your current class year and major?

Junior - Business Administration

Why did you choose to attend Lancaster Bible?

I chose to attend Lancaster Bible to further my education and athletic career and to grow spiritually.

What does it mean to you to be a member of the Lancaster Bible women's basketball team?

Being a member of the Lancaster Bible women's basketball team means being part of something bigger than myself, fulfilling a calling a God has placed on my life and using the platform of basketball to lead and impact others.

If you could pick one favorite moment at Lancaster Bible, what would it be?

Game-winning shots freshman year against Penn State Abington and Oakland City. The game against Penn State Abington was the NEAC Quarterfinals in double overtime and the Oakland City game was the first-ever NCCAA Division I Midwest Region victory in program history.

What are your career aspirations or future goals?

I would like to pursue a career in finance or accounting.

Are you involved in additional activities, clubs, etc. on campus outside of athletics?

I am part of the Business Honors Society, the Student Business Collective and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Give us three words that best describe being a Division III student-athlete.
