Vigliotti, Hudson Named NEAC Basketball Student-Athletes of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s and women’s basketball for the week ending Dec. 16. This week’s selections include student-athletes from Cazenovia College and Gallaudet University. This is the final set of awards before the holiday break with the next set of basketball weekly awards set to resume on Dec. 31.                                                               

Lucci Vigliotti (Syracuse, N.Y.) from Cazenovia College has been named NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week as the leading scorer in the Wildcats’ 115-112 overtime win against Bryant and Stratton last week. The sophomore guard scored 32 points and shot 71.4 percent from three-point territory in the thrilling buzzer-beater that brought Cazenovia some national media attention. Vigliotti also picked up five rebounds, four assists, four steals and one block in the win.

Kendall Hudson (Blissfield, Mich.) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week after averaging 17 points and seven rebounds in two games last week. The Bison’s junior guard recorded 11 points and five rebounds in a loss against Catholic on Dec. 15 before closing out the weekend with 23 points and nine rebounds at Marymount on Sunday. Hudson had 34 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks on the week.
