Lamb, Dueber Take Home NEAC Field Hockey Weekly Awards

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Shelby Lamb and Morgan Dueber as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in field hockey for the week ending Sept. 30.

Shelby Lamb (Clay, N.Y.) from Keuka College has been named NEAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week after appearing in two games last week. The Wolves’ junior forward scored the lone Keuka College goal in a loss at Oneonta, finding the back of the net on her only shot-on-goal. Lamb has two goals in nine games thus far and is the third Keuka College player to earn offensive weekly honors this season.                                         

Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) from Morrisville State has been chosen as NEAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after outstanding efforts despite two losses. The Mustangs’ freshman goalie began the week with 16 saves in a loss to Oneonta. Over the weekend, Dueber turned away 29 of the 36 shots she faced. She finished the week with 45 combined saves and a .804 save percentage.
