Michelle Mirjani Earns First NEAC Tennis Award of 2018-19

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Michelle Mirjani as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in tennis for the week ending Sept. 16. While there were no nominations for men’s tennis, this week marks the first tennis awards of the 2018-19 academic year.

Michelle Mirjani (Great Neck, N.Y.) from Penn State Abington receives the first NEAC Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week award of the year earning a pair of wins against Holy Family over the weekend. The Nittany Lions’ sophomore paired with Marta Tymchenko at No. 1doubles for a 6-1 win before closing out the day with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles.
