Breeze, Pizzuto Selected as NEAC Women's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Michaela Breeze and Bristol Pizzuto as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s soccer for the week ending Sept. 9.

Michaela Breeze (Auburn, N.Y.) from Cazenovia College has been named NEAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week with 10 goals and two assists in a 3-0 week for her team. The Wildcats’ senior forward tallied four goals and an assist against Valley Forge on Sept. 3. Breeze added three goals and an assist at Clarks Summit before closing out the week with a hat trick in conference play, which included the game-winning goal, in a 4-1 win over Wells College.

Bristol Pizzuto (Readington, N.J.) from Penn State Berks received NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors after going 1-1 in two appearances last week. The Nittany Lions’ sophomore goalkeeper made 10 saves in a 2-0 loss at TCNJ before making just one save in one half of play against Lancaster Bible to earn the win over the weekend. Pizzuto wrapped up her week with a 1.33 goals-against average and a .846 save percentage.
