Carley Ryan Receives NEAC Women's Basketball Weekly Nod

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Carley Ryan as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in women’s basketball for the week ending Feb. 11.

Carley Ryan (Middleburgh, N.Y.) from Wells College has been named the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week with 56 points in a 1-1 week for the Express. The Wells College junior netted 17 points in just 23 minutes of playing time in a 63-34 win over Penn College. In an overtime loss to Morrisville State, Ryan scored a career-high 39 points with nine rebounds. In addition to her 56 points, she made nine three-pointers, grabbed 11 rebounds and recorded four assists with one steal and one block. Ryan was perfect at the free-throw line in those two games and shot 51.2 percent from the field.
