Skylar Girard Named NEAC Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Skylar Girard as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in women’s basketball for the week ending Jan. 21.

Skylar Girard (Glens Falls, N.Y.) from Cazenovia College has been named the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Wildcats to a pair of wins last week. In a 76-67 conference win at Penn College, the senior guard scored 19 points with six rebounds. Girard added 31 points and three rebounds later in the week in a 82-70 non-conference victory over Fisher College. She finished the week with 50 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, six steals and two blocks while shooting 65.6 percent from the field. Girard ranks fourth in the league with an average of 20.1 points per game.
