Kevin Williams Named NEAC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Kevin Williams as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in men’s basketball for the week ending Jan. 1. This week’s awards include all games played from Dec. 18 – Jan. 1.

Kevin Williams (Brooklyn, N.Y.) from SUNY Poly has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Wildcats to a pair of wins at the Lehman College Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. In a 68-64 win over Southern Maine, the senior forward scored 22 points with six rebounds and two steals. In the championship game against Lehman, he added 19 points and 12 rebounds to earn his first Tournament Most Valuable Player honor. Williams totaled team highs with 41 points and 18 rebounds while helping the defense with three steals and one block in the two games.
