Hannah Neild Earns Second NEAC Women's Basketball Weekly Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Hannah Neild as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in men’s women’s basketball for the week ending Dec. 17.

Hannah Neild (Litchfield, N.H.) from Gallaudet University has been named the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 26.2 points per game in a two-game weekend. A junior guard for the Bison, Neild scored 25 points with 11 rebounds, six steals and three blocks in a loss to Catholic University of America on Dec. 16. She closed out the weekend with 28 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals and one block in a 53-48 loss to St. Mary’s (Md.). Neild shot 46.2 percent from the field and from three-point range while contributing 53 points, 24 rebounds, 13 steals, four blocks and one assist on the week.
