Andy Cruz Honored as NEAC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Andy Cruz as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in men’s basketball for the week ending Dec. 3.

Andy Cruz (Bronx, N.Y.) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Bison to a pair of conference victories last week. In an 86-78 win over Penn State Berks, Cruz posted 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, five steals and two blocks in the NEAC opener. Over the weekend, the Bison’s senior forward scored a career-high 30 points in a 95-88 victory at the College of Saint Elizabeth. Cruz completed the double-double with 13 rebounds to go with four assists, three steals and two blocks. For the week, Cruz totaled 48 points, 22 rebounds, nine assists, eight steals and four blocks while shooting 44.4 percent from the field.
