Golden, Doubet Receive NEAC Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Caitlin Golden and Quinn Doubet as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s soccer for the week ending Oct. 22.

Caitlin Golden (Lumberton, N.J.) from Penn State Berks was honored as the NEAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after helping her team post a 3-0 record against NEAC opponents. The Nittany Lions’ junior forward had back-to-back hat tricks and finished the week with seven goals. Golden recorded three goals in a 7-0 victory of Penn State Abington and added another three, including the game-winner, in a 5-0 win over SUNY Poly.

Quinn Doubet (Cortland, N.Y.) from Wells College has been named NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after three straight wins for the Express. The senior goalkeeper allowed just one goal over 203 minutes of action and totaled 15 saves on the week. Doubet made 10 stops in a 2-1 victory over Cazenovia College on Oct. 17 and recorded four saves to hold on for a 1-0 shutout at Gallaudet over the weekend.
