Cornish, Stolz Share NEAC Men's Golf Weekly Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Andrew Cornish and Richard Stolz as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s golf for the week ending Oct. 15.

Andrew Cornish (Limerick, Pa.) from Penn State Berks is the NEAC Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week after tying for first place at the Alvernia University Fall Invitational. The Nittany Lions’ sophomore led a field of 46 golfers with a one-over par 73 to earn his second NEAC weekly award. Cornish recorded a par on 11 holes and had a birdie on three others. His performance led a Berks team that placed first after holding the tiebreaker over Lebanon Valley College.

Richard Stolz (West Deptford, N.J.) from Rutgers University - Camden was named NEAC Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week, earning honors for the second-straight week. Stolz, a junior golfer for the Scarlet Raptors, picked up his second-straight individual win with a two-over 73 at the NEAC Fall Preview hosted by Penn College. With 44 golfers competing, Stolz won by one stroke and helped his team compile the best score of the nine teams in attendance.
