GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Shelby Puccio and Kenna Kosinski as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s soccer for the week ending Oct. 1.

Shelby Puccio (Southampton, Pa.) from Bryn Athyn College receives NEAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this fall after a nine-point week in two NEAC wins. The Lions’ sophomore forward picked up an assist in a 2-0 victory at Penn State Abington on Sept. 26. Over the weekend, Puccio tallied a program-record four goals, including the game-winning goal, in a 6-1 win over Wilson College. Puccio leads the NEAC with 13 goals.

Kenna Kosinski (Mumford, N.Y.) from Keuka College has been named NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week with a 1-0-1 record in conference play. A senior goalkeeper for the Wolves, Kosinski needed just three saves to earn a shutout in a 4-0 win over Morrisville State College earlier in the week. On Sept. 30, she made six stops to hold SUNY Poly scoreless in a 0-0 double overtime tie. Kosinski ranks second in the league with three shutouts this season.
