Daniels, Wolf Honored as NEAC Women's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Adele Daniels and Samantha Wolf as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s volleyball for the week ending Sept. 10.

Adele Daniels (Austin, Texas) from Gallaudet University has been chosen as the NEAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week as the offensive leader for the Bison last week. Daniels, a sophomore outside hitter, had 44 kills, 30 digs, four service aces and two block solos as Gallaudet went 3-1 at the Smith College Invitational. In the first three matches of the weekend, she posted 13, 15 and 13 kills respectively. Daniels recorded a .220 hitting percentage on the week.

Samantha Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) from Morrisville State College has been named NEAC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Wolf led the Mustangs to a 3-0 week, including a pair of victories against NEAC North Division opponents. She started the week with 10 digs in the first set of a win against Cazenovia before adding 15 more in a 3-0 win over Penn College. Wolf had 39 digs and five assists on the week while averaging 6.25 digs per set in league play.
