NEAC Selects Puccio, Warren as Women's Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Shelby Puccio and Allie Warren as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s soccer for the week ending Sept. 10.

Shelby Puccio (Southampton, Pa.) from Bryn Athyn College received NEAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second-straight week. The sophomore forward guided her team to a pair of wins with 10 points. Puccio scored both goals in a 2-0 win against Rosemont on Sept. 6 before closing out the week with her second hat trick of the season in a 5-1 win at Clarks Summit. Currently, she leads the league with eight goals and 17 points.

Allie Warren (Tower City, Pa.) from Bryn Athyn College has been named NEAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after posting two wins for the Lions. Despite being outshot 30-5, Warren helped her team earn a 2-0 win against Rosemont with nine saves in the shutout. The sophomore goalkeeper added nine more saves in a 5-1 win at Clarks Summit on Sept. 9. In two games, Warren recorded a 0.50 goals-against average and a .947 save percentage.
