NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week Selection For 11/9/09

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for week ending Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the sports of men’s and women’s swimming and diving.

BRIAN RAWLINGS (Baldwinsville, NY) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for his sensational performance for the SUNY Institute of Technology Wildcats. The freshman finished 1st in the 50 Individual Freestyle with a time of 27:48 and 2nd in the 500 Individual Medley with a 6:23:02 time. Rawlings was also a member of the the 200 Medley Relay team and helped them win 1st with a time of 1:41.37. Rawlings strong swimming helped his team handily defeat SUNY Cobleskill 114-29 in the dual meet.

 

TERESA HUANG (Brooklyn, NY) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for her three 1st place finishes for herSUNY Institute of Technology Wildcats. The sophomore won the 100 Yard Backstroke with a 1:24:18 time, the 200 Individual Medley with a 3:04:51 time, and was part of the 1st place team in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:15:61. Huang’s performance was instrumental in their 79-38 defeat of SUNY Cobleskill in their dual meet.
