The Cazenovia College Men's basketball team held on to beat SUNY Poly 83 to 82 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference quarterfinals Tuesday night. SUNY Poly finished 1st in the North, while the Wildcats from Cazenovia finished the season 8-3 to grab the final spot in the Conference Playoffs.
Cazenovia College Equestrian (CCET) took part in a double Western IHSA Show on Saturday, February 18 hosted by Syracuse University. The Wildcats earned High Point Team in show number one before taking Reserve High Point team in the final show of the afternoon.
A three-pointer by Jaceary Menes with 4 seconds remaining broke a 66-66 tie between the Wildcats and the visiting Bryn Athyn Lionsto give the Cazenovia College Men's Basketball team the lead. The ensuing long pass by Bryn Athy was stolen by to seal the 69-66 victory to complete a furious second half comeback. Cazenovia outscored Bryn Athyn 44-32 in the second half after trailing Bryn Athyn by 10 heading in to half time. With the win Cazenovia improves to 8-9 in NEAC play after winning 6 of the past 8 games.
Student-Athletes from this past weekend's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships were the first group to compete in an NCAA sanctioned championship meet using the Reaction Light System.
The Cazenovia College Equestrian Western riders completed a triple-header horse show this weekend on the campus of SUNY Oswego. The Wildcats finished as three time Reserve Champion, with senior Kristen Wesoja leading the way, finishing as High Point Rider in all three shows. Wesoja currently leads Region III in the High Point Rider competition as well.
The Cazenovia College Men's Basketball team picked up their seventh conference win of the season by downing the eagles of St. Elizabeth. The Wildcats have won 7 of their last ten games to keep them in the playoff hunt going into the final regular season weekend. Cazenovia offense was too much for the Eagles as they used sharp passing and strong attacks to the hoop.
The Cazenovia College Men's Basketball team used suffocating defense and sharp passing on offense to pull out a big road victory 81 to 70. With the win the Wildcats improve to 6-8 in conference and 6-15 overall while Penn College drops to 7-10 in conference and 9-13 overall.
