WILLIAMSPORT, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's volleyball team (10-12, 5-3 NEAC) improved to 5-3 in NEAC play with a 3-0 sweep of Penn College (3-13, 2-6 NEAC). The Wildcats made quick work of Penn College, winning a close set 25-18 in the first before turning up the heat and taking the second and third set 25-15, 25-14. The win was a true team effort for the Wildcats with no one player recording more than six kills in the match.
READING, PA. - The SUNY Poly men's soccer team (7-7-0, 5-2-0 NEAC) earned a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win over Penn State Berks (6-8-1, 2-4-1 NEAC) on Saturday 2-1. The Wildcat offense put 11 shots on goal in the game, netting the first and last goals of the game. Once the go-ahead goal was scored early in the second half for the Wildcats, the defense needed to hold strong and they did just that.
READING, PA. - The SUNY Poly women's soccer team (9-3-1, 5-1-1 NEAC) lost to Penn State Berks (8-5-1, 7-0 NEAC) on Saturday 0-5 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. The loss was the Wildcats first in conference play. The Wildcats put just three shots on goal in the game whereas Berks put 19 shots on goal.
CANTON, N.Y. - Great defense led the SUNY Poly Wildcats (8-1-1) to a 2-1 win in double overtime over SUNY Canton (5-7) on Thursday. The Wildcats struck first in the game but were quickly answered by the Roos. The two teams played airtight defense up until the Wildcats capitalized on an opportunity in the 104th minute.

The Wildcats win over St. Elizabeth was a 10-1 blowout. The Gallaudet game was a 3-1 win for SUNY Poly.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men's lacrosse fall ball season is in full swing. On Saturday October 14th the Wildcats will host two fall scrimmages. The first scrimmage will be held at 11am vs Herkimer County Community College followed by a scrimmage vs Jefferson Community College at 1pm. Both games will take place on the turf at the SUNY Poly athletic facility.

The Wildcat attack was stagnant registering just 18 kills in the match, tying a season low. On the other side of the net, the Mustangs were firing on all cylinders hitting .213 as a team with 45 kills.

The Wildcats would bounce back convincingly from a second set loss to take the third 25-16 before closing out the match with a 25-20 win in the fifth.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team (3-6, 1-2 NEAC) lost to Keuka (3-5, 2-1 NEAC) on Saturday 2-1. The Wolves drew first blood, scoring in the 13th minute. The Wildcats answered right back, knotting the game at one just three minutes later. The difference-making goal for Keuka was scored in the 70th minute off a penalty kick.

The Wildcats scored first in the second half. Penn College answered back just 17 minutes later, tying the game at one, which is where the score would remain for the remainder of regulation. SUNY Poly and Penn College would battle it out in overtime for another 30 minutes before the game winning goal was scored by SUNY Poly?s Nakeya Stedman (Sauquoit, N.Y.) in the 119th minute.

The Wildcats split their two matches losing to RIT in three sets (22-25, 17-25, 20-25) and beating Bard in three sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-21).
ALFRED, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcats (2-4) earned their second win of the season on Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Alfred State (1-5-1). The Wildcats came out gunning in the first half, striking first at the 17 minute mark and again at the 33 minute mark. The Wildcats would go to the locker room at halftime with a 2-1 lead. The lead would be extended to 3-1 in the 63rd minute on a goal off a corner kick by the Wildcats.

The MCLA Trailblazers struck first on a Brooke Mangiardi goal early in the first half. Facing a deficit in the second half, the Wildcat forwards went to work, scoring two goals to give the Cats' their third win of the season.

The final score of the match was 3-1 in favor of the Wells Express 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 29-27. The match was a thriller, especially the fourth set in which the lead changed hands three times.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women?s volleyball team (3-5, 1-0 NEAC) extended their winning streak to three games on Wednesday and earned their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win of the season over Cobleskill State (4-2, 0-1 NEAC). The Wildcats got it done at the net with 12 total blocks (5 solo, 13 assist) setting a new season high en route to the 3-1 win.

The Wildcats and Pioneers played a very close, defensive minded game. The Wildcats were able to push a goal across late in the first half to take the 1-0 lead that would ultimately be enough to win the game.

The Wildcats fell to the Red Dragons in three sets, but not without a fight. The two teams battled back and forth finishing the first two sets 25-23. Facing a 0-2 deficit, the Wildcats needed a big comeback. Unfortunately, Cortland closed out the third set handily, 25-15 to cap the win.

The SUNY Poly cross country program hosted its annual Short Course Invitational 6K/4K race on Saturday. 23 teams were in attendance for the race which featured nearly 240 student-athletes competing on the beautiful SUNY Poly Cross Country Course. The Wildcats fared very well on their home course. The men's team took home 4th place with 117 points. The women placed 7th out of 11 teams with 197 points.
